Hand Painted Hanging Scroll TITLE : Monkey riding a Deer Signature (Seal) : MORI TETSUZAN (1775-1841) was a Mori-school and Shijo-school painter born in Osaka. He was the son of Mori Shuho (1738-1823) and became the adopted son of his uncle Mori Sosen (1747-1821). At first, he studied with Shuho and Sosen and later became one of the Ten Great Disciples of Maruyama Okyo (1733-1795).
